Elara Vornik is a textile technologist and wearable systems designer with a PhD in Human-Centered Smart Materials from ETH Zurich. She pioneered adaptive thermal regulation fabrics used in NASA’s next-gen astronaut underlayers and holds patents in e-textile power integration. A former MIT Media Lab research affiliate, she consults for ISO/TC 203 on smart clothing safety standards and teaches wearable UX at Parsons School of Design.
